On the inside and back cover, I played upon the idea of “the price of the feminist movement” using the trademark Barbie car and Barbie Dreamhouse – two items that appear perfect, but feel unattainable. This reflected the current state of the feminist movement following the cultural response to the Barbie movie – seemingly perfect, but with a catch (pink marketing and overconsumption). 

The car and Dreamhouse – both of which I drew on Procreate – appear as if they are behind plastic, re-emphasizing the idea of glittery consumerism and unattainability.
