Classroom Divided

In this edition, I wanted to experiment with different textures and line weights in Procreate. 

My favorite design is on pg. 19, where I transformed letter grades (D, A) into illustrations of stressed students. I also like how I treated this page as a collage of multiple images associated with academics: plus and minus signs, the “frustrated scribble,” papers, and letter grades. 

Overall, this cover story design lacks the consistency that I have since prioritized developing in my more recent work. However, this project also provided me the opportunity to explore new illustration styles, which created a jumping-off point for my recent illustrative work.
